Attention Utah High School Students:

The Motorcycle Safety Video Contest Deadline is Approaching!

In their endeavor to promote motorcycle safety and motorcycle awareness, the Utah Highway Safety Office is sponsoring a $1,000 video contest to all Utah residents. Participants are asked to produce a 1-2 minute video based on the current 2010 Utah Motorcycle Accident prevention campaign:  Drive Aware. Ride Aware.

Community Involvement is Key to Motorcycle Safety

With the rising number of Utah motorcycle accidents that occur each year, the attorneys at the Christensen Law Firm, PLLC, urge the community to get involved in this fun and informative safety campaign. Utah high school video productions classes and driver’s education classes have been active participants in this annual video contact. In fact, a high school student won the grand prize of $1,000 last year. Utah educators find this contest to be a highly effective way to teach impressionable young drivers how to creatively express themselves while teaching them the seriousness of road safety.

For more information on the specifics of the contest feel free to contact Derek Miller at the Utah Department of Safety by calling 801.957.8570 or find Utah Highway Safety Office on Facebook. Remember, the deadline for submissions is Friday, April 16, 2010!
