Motorcycle Accident Kills St. George Man

A St. George couple was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on Saturday evening of April 17, 2010. According to St. George Police Department, Sergeant Craig Harding of the St George Police Department, excessive alcohol and speed were the main factors in causing this fatal accident. The motorcyclist lost control around a curve on East Ridge Drive and hit a parked truck.

The driver of the motorcycle, 33-year-old Steven Sabatini sustained massive head trauma and was died at a local hospital. Steven’s wife, who was the passenger on the bike, 24-year-old Yvonne Bonhard -Sabatini, remains in critical condition with serious brain trauma and internal injuries. Neither victim was wearing his or her helmet. According to a KSL news report, the couple had been married for about a month and were riding a newly purchased motorcycle that was unregistered.
